Toilet and dirty water: add hygiene to the checklist

Do the standard rescue first: power off, wipe dry, eject the speaker water, dry with airflow. For the other types, escalate on evidence: liquid detection alerts that persist, speakers that improve then worsen, battery draining abnormally, warmth when idle, or any visible residue in the ports. A phone that sailed through drying and behaves normally for a week is very likely genuinely fine.
